Round 3 of trying to be a blogger!!

Hello there
Does posting once or twice every four years count as an active blogger???
I guess not.
I have just signed up for the iHanna postcard swap. This is great fun to take part in. You make 10 postcards and post them off to your assigned people by 5 May and then await the arrival of 10 hand made postcards you get in return.
As far as decorating them is concerned - anything goes. The range of art types you get back is awesome and inspiring.
Follow this link to get all the details

Here is a few of the postcards from last year.

Aren't they fun?
Have a great day.
Cheers

Friday 3 January 2014

Hello.
Just popped in to show my latest creations. I am really enjoying the creative underground 52 weeks class

What a day. three layouts completed and now to reveal them here. Talk about a steep learning curve.
Happy crafting everyone.

This is actually a two page layout. A rare treat to get a photo with my oldest daughter and youngest at the same time.
Mainly used prima paper and flowers - I think :-).  I must remember to take note of this.
So much to learn.

Lets get this show on the road !!!

Well, here we go.
Thanks to Nat over at nathaliesstudio.com I have finally learnt how to "link". Being a newbie at things can be kinda frightening. I am looking forward to doing the CJS2014 and participating fully for the first time.
Bear with me as I learn how do do this blogging business.
Cheers for now

not so great start to blog land

It always amazes me how much can (or can't) happen in a month. I was so proud when I organised that very first post back in March. Thats as far as it got due to a hectic schedule at school and on the farm. Anyhow - enough of the excuses. These two very simple cards were made with some older Basic Grey papers to act as man cards. I always find man cards (and man layouts often) tricky as I am a bit of a frilly girl creator. Both have been received happily, so I guess thats a good sign.

Well thats all for now -best get shut eye before the moos need milking again.

I shall try and post again soon with better looking goodies.

Thanks for visiting.

New and still learning

well, I've finally done it and attempted to master this blog "stuff". Number one item on my New Years List is acheived.
My love of paper crafting led me down this road so that I can share with all the lovely ladies who have inspired me over the years. I have found card making and scrapbooking a great if somewhat addictive past time.
My new years wish was to attempt to do a little crafting of some sort everyday, work out how to set up a blog and try to complete at least one layout a week. Hmmmm..... watch this space.
This layout uses lots of flower punches, cuttlebug petals, glitter and glossy accents (I love that stuff)
I started this creative journey with Creative Memories and Stampin Up. My favourite papers at the moment are definitely Kaisercraft and about a zillion others but I try not to look to often. My scrapping style tends to vary depending on the subject, my mood and time available. This leads to an interesting mix of pages I can tell you, everything from simple "speed scrapping" to all out "arty farty".
If you happen to stumble across this page please feel free to leave a comment. Would love to hear from you.
Next step is to work out how to "link" to galleries, etc. Hmmmm....... again!!!
